Although Concorso Italiano doesn’t take place until Saturday, August 25, it will host a new Monterey Car Week event on Wednesday, August 22, when Grundy Insurance sponsors the Automotive Enthusiast Connection Breakfast.

The event runs from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Bayonet Black Horse Golf Course’s clubhouse.

Young racing star Andrew Evans

Featured guests are Wade Kawasaki, president of Coker Tire and chairman of SEMA; Drew Alcazar, founder of Russo and Steele auctions; racer Andrew Evans; and Concorso Italiano chairman Thomas McDowell.

Nicholas Bergeron and Daniel Putnam of Rain City Supercars will serve as moderators.

The cost is $35 ($10 for students) and proceeds will benefit the Child Help charity.

Organizers promise both a formal interview session and “mingle time” so those in attendance can go one-on-one with the featured guests.

For more information, visit the special event website.
