Dad’s ’68 Mercury for sale

-

The Pick of the Day is a 1968 Mercury Monterey being offered on ClassicCars.com by a private seller who also is the son of the man who was the car’s second owner.

“This car was my dads,” the seller says in the advertisement.

“It has been stored under cover or inside its whole life.

“It has the original paint with no accidents, original interior is in excellent shape, motor and tranny work perfectly, this is one beautiful car that is in amazing original shape.”

There is a scratch in the paint on one fender that the seller shows in one of the photographs that are part of the ad.

“The car is missing nothing,” the seller adds, “everything from the factory is there and in good shape.

“No rips or tears in the interior, carpet in great shape. All you have to do is drive and enjoy.”

The owner notes that the car has been driven around 75,000 miles since new.

Empowering the car is its original 390cid V8 engine which, when new, was rated at 265 horsepower.

The car is located in Cheney, Washington, and the asking price is $18,000.
