Want to insulate the interior of your first-generation Chevrolet Camaro or Pontiac Firebird to enhance the sound of that killer audio system you installed? Boom Mat suggests you consider its new pre-cut heat and sound control kits for those cars.
“Eliminate unwanted engine and road noise and enhance audio sound with the introduction of complete pre-cut heat and sound control kits for the early model F-Body (1967-1969) Camaro and Pontiac Firebird,” Design Engineering, Inc., says in its news release.
DEI adds that the kits use D-Mat ultra-lightweight insulation and sound-absorber material, half-inch thick Under Carpet Lite (a water resistant composite), and 2mm Boom Mat damping material. Pieces are pre-cut to original-equipment fit.
Four kits are available:
- 500400 for 1967-69 Camaros and Firebirds with factory air conditioning
- 500401 for those same cars without factory air
- 500402 for 1967-69 Camaro and Firebird convertible with factory air
- 500403 for convertibles without a/c
Also available are a trunk kit, package try kit, trunk divider kit, floor kit, roof kit, kick panel sit, side kit and firewall kits.
