Barrett-Jackson countdown: 1963 split-window Corvette

-

Lot No. 663 is an example of one of the most popular collector cars out there: A 1963 Chevrolet Corvette split window coupe.

This car is powered by its original, matching-numbers 327ci V8 engine that makes 340 horsepower paired with an M20 4-speed transmission. It has KO wheels.

It has just 22,700 original miles on it and has never been in an accident.

The undercarriage has been lightly detailed and the car retains its natural-finish fiberglass floors.

The Corvette will be sold with no reserve and comes with its original owner’s manual, dealer pouch and NCRS Shipping Data report.

Barrett-Jackson’s annual Northeast auction is scheduled for June 20-23 at the Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.

  1. What is rarer than a 63 split window coupe? Ans.- Back in 1963 the split window was not as coveted and a firm offered a kit to convert the split window to one piece. If any of these kits were used that Corvette would be very rare.
