Low-mileage is theme for Worldwide Auctioneers’ Texas docket

-

If you grew up in a metropolitan area where used-car dealers could afford to advertise on television, you may remember a guy in a flamboyant sports coat interrupting your evening’s entertainment to tell you about all the great, low-mileage beauties waiting for you on the lot.

We’re not comparing Worldwide Auctioneers to those hucksters of a bygone era, but the Indiana-based collector car auction house does have quite a few low-mileage cars on the docket for its 17th annual Texas Sale, scheduled for April 21 at the Arlington Convention Center, which is near the homes of the Dallas Cowboys football team and the Texas Rangers baseball team.

The sale is being held in conjunction with the seventh annual Concours d’Elegance of Texas.

“Almost a third of the cars presented in this year’s sale register mileage significantly under 10,000,” Worldwide noted in its most recent pre-sale news release.

“Among the wealth of low mileage offerings from the carefully curated, no-reserve Collection of Pamela & Eugene Knies is a flawless 2007 Dodge Charger Daytona Hemi with just 615 miles, a rare Collector’s Series 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car with an amazing 2,444 miles from new, a multiple Best Rod show winning 1932 Ford Boydster (568 miles) and an impeccable 2015 Bentley Continental GT Speed Convertible (3,563 miles).”
