This is the fifth in a 10-day countdown to Barrett-Jackson’s annual Palm Beach auction
Lot 709.1 is a restored Southwestern customized 1956 Chevrolet Bel Air convertible equipped with 4wheel power disc brakes, tubular A arms and other chassis upgrades.
Power is provided by an LS1 V8 turned to 400 horsepower and linked to a 4L60E automatic transmission.
The color is a deep Candy Blue and silver with silver glove-leather interior. The car rides on polished Budnik wheels.
It also features such comforts as ice-cold air conditioning routed through the original Chevrolet in-dash vents, power windows with smoked glass, tilt steering column, shrunken steering wheel and stereo system with iPod and XM capabilities.
The car is part of the John Staluppi Cars of Dreams Collection.
Barrett-Jackson’s annual Palm Beach auction is scheduled for April 12-15 at the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach.
