Launched at the Geneva Motor Show in 2015, the RS version of the Porsche 911 GT3 is essentially a street-legal, track-ready improvement over its already impressive GT3 stablemate. Barrett-Jackson Countdown: 2016 Porsche GT3 RS | ClassicCars.com

A striking difference in appearance is immediately apparent in the louvered front fenders and Turbo-like intakes in the rear wings, while a roll cage, bucket seats, harnesses, fire extinguisher mounting bracket, and carbon fiber and lightweight accents adorn the purposeful interior.

The 4.0-liter flat-6 engine produces 500 horsepower, which is transferred through the 7-speed PDK gearbox to propel the RS to 60 mph in just 3.3 seconds. Barrett-Jackson Countdown: 2016 Porsche GT3 RS | ClassicCars.com

A standard Club Sport Package includes fully adjustable racing suspension, rear-axle steering and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus with fully variable rear axle differential lock, as well as such weight-saving features as a magnesium roof help the car circumnavigate the Nürburgring in just 7 minutes, 20 seconds.

This 2016 Porsche GT3 RS also has a kicking stereo, air conditioning and cruise control!

The car offered at auction, presented in white over black color combination, shows 314 actual miles from new and comes with an impressive options list that includes a full leather/Alcantara interior package and extended-range fuel tank.

Barrett-Jackson’s 47th annual Scottsdale auction is scheduled for January 13-21 at the Westworld complex.
