1964 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible ready for ‘Cruising in style’

-

Though surpassed by the Chevrolet Impala when it comes to collectability, the Ford Galaxie was a prestigious boulevard cruiser in its day, especially when it was a 500-trim soft top like the Pick of the Day, a 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 convertible.

“The art of cruising in style,” is how the private seller advertising the car on ClassicCars.com describes the vehicle.

“Super clean with straight body,” the seller notes, adding that the car was purchased from the original owner in Arizona.

“I am the second owner and the car has been garaged in California since 1997,
the seller adds. The car is located in Torrance, California, just south of Los Angeles.

The car has a “strong” 352cid V8 engine, Cruise-O-Matic transmission, Select Air and the radio works.

The top and interior are new, the ad points out.
