The restoration project involvede a replacement rolling chassis outfitted from the ground-up with original parts. A  drivetrain and a replacement body were commissioned. The LaGrande-style dual-cowl phaeton coachwork is a highly accurate representation of the original.

The rear trunk is slightly intesgrated with the Duesenberg body

The dark red main body and fenders are accented by a brighter red cove and rear body section, a signature flare of Gordon Buehrig’s pen. The quality of the paintwork is excellent but shows the very slightest wear while the car features authentic chrome trim and other highlights such as its unmistakable radiator grille, a pair of genuine Pilot-Ray spot lamps, twin trumpet horns, and a semi-integrated upholstered trunk and twin rear lamps. Dual sidemount spare wheels complete the look.  All six chrome wire wheels wear fresh Firestone 7.00-19 wide whitewall tires.

The interior features tan leather seats along with dark red carpet. The top is trimed in tan canvas with red piping.

The engine-turned alloy dash panel is fitted with a full set of original instruments and passeners are treated to their own protective cowl and folding windscreen,

Powering the model J is a proper 420 cubic-inch inline-8 cylendar engine rated with 265 horsepower and finished in the signature Duesenberg Green with polished alloy cam covers. The power plant is accented by a polished firewall and bright stainless flex-pipe exhaust passing through the sides of the hood.
