I purchased this truck in 2003 in anticipation of retirement in 2005 (as a retirement project). I purchased the truck from the original owner ,who had bought it new in Durant, Oklahoma, in 1950.

The truck needed a complete restoration. The original owner was a farmer but he kept the truck covered most of the time when not in use. This was crucial in keeping the rust on the truck to a minimum.

I decided to bring the truck back mostly stock. I did much of the work myself but had the paint and bodywork done by a local painter.

It took approximately three years to completely restore the truck. It has won numerous awards and trophies since. My wife and I still enjoy getting it out on the weekends for a drive.
