‘Drive your Corvette to Work Day” is celebrated annually by Chevrolet sports car enthusiasts on the Friday closest to June 30th, the day the first Corvette was produced back in 1953. This year the 16th annual celebration falls on July 1.

“We understand why many owners consider their Corvette to be a special car and only drive it occasionally” said Mike Yager, founder of Mid America Motorworks, who launched “Drive your Corvette to Work Day” in 2001 with the goal to have as many Corvette owners as possible drive their cars to work.

“We think driving your Corvette to work, at least one day a year, is an excellent way to demonstrate just how popular Corvettes are,” Yager added.

“And it is a chance for Corvette owners to meet new Corvette owners.”
