‘Vespa Cool’ is the title of a lecture to be presented by our own Bob Golfen at 7 p.m. February 17 at the Phoenix Art Museum.

Golfen, associate editor at ClassicCars.com and Classic Car News, is the author of How to Restore and Maintain your Vespa Motor Scooter.

According to the museum’s news release, “During Italy’s post war reconstruction, the Vespa became a stylish vehicle for the mass market and now lives on as the symbol of a generation. Expert Bob Golfen discusses the history of the Vespa and what made it cool.”

He’s also a collector car enthusiast with a long history with British cars and a more recent obsession with a 1962 Porsche 356 Super coupe.
