Sunday, May 3, the Blackhawk Automotive Museum holds its first monthly Cars and Coffee of the season. The event takes place from 8 to 10 a.m. and both Barry Megular and his crew from Car Crazy TV Show and Wayne Carini and his team from Chasing Classic Cars will be in attendance, the museum said.

Elsewhere, the LeMay hosts Valve Cover Races on Sunday, May 24. This free event is open to all ages and allows participants to turn an old valve cover into a race car. You can register online.

Also at the LeMay, the Lucky Auction, 2015 Spring Classic, takes place May 30-31. Between 80 and 100 cars are expected to cross the block each day. If you cannot attend, you can bid via Proxibid.

If motorcycles are more your speed, mark your calendars for June 15-21 when some 200 motorcycles go to the LeMay Marymount event center to be displayed indoors, showcasing vintage, specialty and other special historical bikes. An outdoor cruise in will also take place alongside a barbeque for Father’s Day weekend.

The Petersen Automotive Museum hosts a Japanese Car Cruise-in on May 17th from 8 – 10 a.m. on the top level of the museum’s parking structure. While the show is free, the museum asks that your register through its website.

The Gilmore Car Museum has a lot to offer this month. For the second year, the museum is participating in the Southwest Michigan Cultural Exchange Program. Guests presenting a membership card from any of five museums enjoy free admission to participating venues throughout the month. The organizations include the Gilmore Car Museum, Air Zoo, Binder Park Zoo, Gilmore Car Museum, Kalamazoo Nature Center and Kalamazoo Institute of Arts.

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum opens an exhibit featuring the art photography of Michael Furman on May 23. The exhibit runs through September 19. The exhibit showcases images from Furman’s most recent book, Automotive Jewlery, volume One: Mascots. Badges.

For the diehard gear heads, car lovers, and auto geeks, Motor Muster, June 20-21 at the Henry Ford Museum, celebrates the glamorous classics of the 1930s to brawny muscle cars of the ‘70s at the Greenfield Village, where 500 vehicles will be on display.
