Hot Rod Power Tour ready to roll with new features

The 21st annual Hot Rod Power Tour travels this year from Madison, Wisconsin, to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, June 6-12. Presented by Chevrolet Performance and Continental Tire, the tour includes nearly 6,000 participants and perhaps 100,000 spectators along the route.

All makes and models of hot rods, street rods, custom trucks, muscle cars and performance machines of every vintage are included.

From the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, the tour will stop at  Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois; Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Illinois; Memphis International Raceway in Memphis, Tennessee; Hoover Metropolitan Stadium in Hoover, Alabama; Centennial Plaza in Gulfport, Mississippi; and the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales, Louisiana.

The tour will showcase new features at each stop with drivers and spectators seeing the latest automotive innovations in mobile displays from more than 50 performance manufacturers and aftermarket specialists, as well as autograph sessions with motorsports celebrities. Tour drivers will be able to participate in drag strip fun runs at Gateway Motorsports Park and Memphis International Raceway.

The Power Tour is free for spectators. Participants may register a vehicle for a day or the entire event.  Pre-registration is available through Saturday, May 23, 2015.
