The third-annual Arizona Concours d’Elegance at the historic Arizona Biltmore Resort will take place Sunday, January 24, 2016, serving once again as the start of and a focal point for the annual Classic Car Week in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area.

The Arizona Concours, an exclusive celebration of fine automobiles in an intimate setting, also announced its three featured classes for 2016: Duesenberg, Coachwork by Zagato, and Exceptional Cars of Great Britain. Those special classes will join more than a dozen standing classes that will be judged and will culminate in the award for the Best of Show.

The 2015 Arizona Concours hosted a magnificent collection of 87 vintage automobiles displayed on the landscaped inner lawns of the Arizona Biltmore and again earned high praise from spectators, entrants and the media. Attendance Sunday was a sellout and two Saturday seminars – the Phoenix Automotive Press Association’s auction-week preview and the Elegance at Speed race car design forum – also were very well attended.

The balmy Arizona weather added its luster to the event, as did the special guests, which included honorees Sir Stirling Moss and Norman Dewis, OBE, as well as Nigel Bennett, Peter Brock, Kip Wasenko, Glenn Mounger, Clive Cussler, Ken Gross and Lyn St. James.

On the Monday after the Concours, entrants and their vintage cars were invited to join the Tour d’Elegance, visiting Taliesin West, the David Wright House and the Scottsdale Automotive Museum.

The Arizona Concours d’Elegance benefits Make-A-Wish Arizona, the founding chapter of the national organization that grants wishes for children facing life-threatening medical conditions. More than $70,000 was raised to fund future wishes during 2015.

Preparations for the 2016 Arizona Concours d’Elegance have begun, and potential entrants are encouraged to submit their vehicle for consideration at the Arizona Concours website. Additionally, the Arizona Concours mobile app can be downloaded from the website.
