R-Reforged, a bespoke automotive manufacturer based in Switzerland, has opened its new facility in Warwick, England, where it will produce 19 sets of the Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato Heritage “Twins,” the company said in a joint announcement with Aston Martin.
The vehicles will be sold as sets — a coupe and a speedster — to celebrate 100 years of Zagago Atelier and the 60-year history between Zagato and Aston Martin.
According to R-Reforged, the vehicles “were created by Zagato and R-Reforged to combine the best of two automotive worlds: a sporting Speedster in its purest form and a timeless Coupé, redefining the 2011 Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato.
“Each features iconic Zagato design cues synonymous with the Carrozzeria, notably the ‘double bubble’ roof on the Coupé and, exclusively, the 100th anniversary gold Z badging.”
Each of the 38 vehicles will be powered by a 5.9-liter normally aspirated V12 Vantage engine rated at 600 horsepower. Coachwork will be done in carbon fiber with active aero and a deployable rear wing for high-speed stability.
Customers will be able to specialize their vehicles and will be invited to meet with the design team in Switzerland and then will witness the vehicle build in England, with production beginning in the fourth quarter of 2020, the partners said.
Pricing of the 19 sets has not been announced.
R-Reforged is part of AF Racing Group and also is producing the Aston Martin Vanquish 25 by Callum vehicles.
